Spring is here!

Yup, with crazy random thunderstorms and rainy days scattered among sunny ones, I am quite convinced that it is now Spring.

And what does every girl do during the spring?

Dream of Spring Weddings, of course! :)

Well. Not exactly like that, then. :) But you know what I mean! Do I really want to be a June bride...?

Oh, they say when you marry in June,
You're a bride all your life.
And the bridegroom who marries in June
Gets a sweetheart for a wife.
Winter weddings can be gay
Like a Christmas holiday.
But the June bride hears the song
Of the spring that lasts all summer long.
By the light of the silvery moon
Home you ride, side by side
With the echo of Mendelssohn's tune
In your hearts as you ride
For they say when you marry in June,
You will always be a bride.

- June Bride, from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

Oh. Yeah, yeah I do. :) Hooray for all June Brides!

And what are you daydreaming about, during these spring days?

My Best Friend

It sounds cliche, but at my June 2011 wedding, I will be marrying my very best friend.

No, really!

I have had so many people comment to me on how well he and I get together. His sisters can't believe how "devoted" we are to each other, etc., etc.

That's me!

Hehehe. I have to admit, I can't help but realize how much like a puppy I feel when I know the time is coming near that he's getting off work, and I get to see him. I seriously start to bounce, even.

Yeah... I like him very much!

And how do you feel about your hubby to be?

My Papa Dance

Me: "You know you're gonna have to dance with me, right?"
Papa: "Eh... no, no, don't do that to me."
Me: "You have to! Want to listen to the song I chose?
Papa: "Just surprise me with it."

Aaaaaand, yeah. That's my papa.
He's so silly. I know that whatever he says, he'll be dancing with me on my wedding day.

Anywho, I'll be honest with all of you! :)
(Apart from... y'know, saying "I do") the part of my wedding that I'm super looking forward to is the father-daughter dance with my papa. :D :D :D

I. Adore. My. Papa. That's right, you heard me! I'm a total daddy's girl (not to mention, mommy's girl, too)!!! If I could, I'd have dolls made in the likeness of my parents. I know it sounds creepy, but my parents are just seriously that cute. :)

I think the dance with my papa will him tear up, and it will just mean so much to both of us. I hope that it will reassure him that he's not losing me, but he's gaining a son -- I've already seen evidence that he's enjoying having another guy around. After all, it's always been him, my mom, my sister, and me!

What part of a wedding do you guys look forward to?

Say whattttt?

"It sounds like the virus is attacking your vocal chords."

Wait. What?

What a crazy thing to tell someone like me!! So apparently my sickness (a really, really bad cold) has been driving my body nuts! Now, laryngitis is in the present and I can't talk without having to cough and cough and cough until I have a voice that people can understand.

Well, throughout all of this, Tim has been great. When I came home from work on Friday, my ankle and knee were killing me. What did this sweet man do? He went to CVS and bought me a bagful of goodies: a heating wrap for my ankle, candy, candy, and... a little stuffed lamb.

What a sweetie. He's been a lamb ever since I got sick (I'm not saying you're not a lamb other times, babe!) and I have just been eating it up. (hehehe.. eating.. lamb. Lamb is good, actually.)

Anywho. just a heads up on how I'm doing!

Hehe, like how I did this? ;) Showed you pictures of my e-ring, and I told you a little about myself!

Letters to Nanay

:) Woah!

A month plus without posts, and then two in the same day?? Crazy!

Hehe. Anyway! Remember when I said that FH Tim and I received the DVD of our e-pics from Lili Durkin?

:D :D :D

My grandmother in the Philippines wants to see FH Tim and me! :) And so... here's a sneak sneak pic! ;)

FH Tim and I bought a small photo album and filled it up...

Hehe... ;) Sneak pic!

That's my darling right there! :) I took some index cards and made some notes in the album, too. Note for my nanay!

And that's us.

Pictures of the albums by me.
Pictures in the album? By the wonderful and talented Lili Durkin

Bogged down

I know, I know, I know. Bad Joy!

I have been on hiatus because...
...school, school, school.
...I started a new job!
...I got sick.

This post has definitely been brought to you by a month-long-going-longer sickness that I have acquired, and that has also been acquired by FH T and his family. (Sorry, guys!)

Sad, isn't it? Nothing happy.

Except! During this time, FH T and I had our engagement session with Lili Durkin!! *cue screams of excitement*

Next post will be about our lovely photographer, and her lovely pictures.

Oh no!!

I know that I haven't been writing that much... but tragedy has struck! (of sorts, at least)

Remember how I had been music about how easy this wedding planning has been? Mhm. Yup.
Oh no!!

Oh... yes. :(

This is true, my friends. It isn't as easy as I thought it was. So what's the problem, you ask?

The reception hall that the Fiance and I had decided on? Uh huh. Too far from the ceremony, and Mommy Dee informed us that it would just be too much driving. What Fiance T and I had thought would be 30 minutes, she told us would be 2 hours on a Sunday evening in the summer. Darn.

So now we are sans reception venue.

Not to worry! There are several things that are great about this snafu (I just love that word...). Fiance T pointed out that it would give me things to do, instead of going stir-crazy, which I was when everything had already been planned; I was making all sorts of plans for DIY things and getting carried away. Now, he thinks that I will have more fun planning it out rather than have someone else plan it for me.

You know what? He's probably right!

Cuttle, cuttle, cuttle... bug!

I got it! I was so excited when I knew that my Cuttlebug was on it's sweet little FedEx truck, being delivered. In my head, ideas for this project and that swam around like no other! I picked up my blank cards, shoved them between the pages of my current read, The Nanny Diaries (nice book, btw) and dashed off, to see the fiance.

And then...

I had too much homework. Which, by the way, I am procrastinating from by writing this post.

I guess my Cuttlebug will have to wait until tonight!

I'm a persistent one, I am!

To continue with the bug thing I started off with... I'm the bug that never dies. (haha, since we're talking about the Cuttlebug... Dies... get it? *cough*)

So after I called the local Michael's and found out that the Cuttlebug is NOT included in either the 50% coupon that I have, or the 40% coupon that I also have! Booooo. I was slightly depressed, but even more determined to get one. Yes! *pumps fist*

So what did this lil' gal do? She turned - nay, ran! - to her nearest laptop (which happened to be... right in front of her). With fingers as fast as lightning, she quickly searched for sales on Cuttlebugs, and any Provo Craft items. Alas, nothing!

Fiance T was cheering me on -- okay, okay. He was consoling my poor hurt feelings (how could they do this to me! I am a fun-loving artsy-fartsy sweetiepie who really just wants to do DIY invitations for her wedding... well okay. I won't take it too personally). He was also commending my [short-lived] ability to be patient.

And then... CreativeXpress popped up!!! No way, no way! THEY had the Cuttlebug for $39.99!!! *cue heavenly music*

Fiance T: That's the cheapest we're ever going to get it.
BeeBride: Weeellll....
Fiance T: Just get it
BeeBride: Really?
Fiance T: We'll teach you patience with something else.

Hahaha, can anyone tell that I'm a little (alright, alright... a lot) impatient?

Pictures to come when we get the package! ;)

It's a bug world out there

Guess who recently got into the Cuttlebug world!

I did, I did!

For those of you who don't know, the Cuttlebug is a die cutter and embosser from the company Provo Craft. They can make a piece of paper into the prettiest thing ever! From invitations to escort cards, to decorations and cards. I just can't wait until I can make something using one!

I totally had to convince Tim that I would use it and use it and use it and use it and use it and use it and use it... and I think I've got him convinced. I will, too! I really, really will! I promise.

Tonight, I spent the evening looking at different videos on YouTube and different things you can do with a Cuttlebug. I can't believe it! Soooooooo fun!

Now, to just get one. Go, go, go!
