Oh no!!

I know that I haven't been writing that much... but tragedy has struck! (of sorts, at least)

Remember how I had been music about how easy this wedding planning has been? Mhm. Yup.
Oh no!!

Oh... yes. :(

This is true, my friends. It isn't as easy as I thought it was. So what's the problem, you ask?

The reception hall that the Fiance and I had decided on? Uh huh. Too far from the ceremony, and Mommy Dee informed us that it would just be too much driving. What Fiance T and I had thought would be 30 minutes, she told us would be 2 hours on a Sunday evening in the summer. Darn.

So now we are sans reception venue.

Not to worry! There are several things that are great about this snafu (I just love that word...). Fiance T pointed out that it would give me things to do, instead of going stir-crazy, which I was when everything had already been planned; I was making all sorts of plans for DIY things and getting carried away. Now, he thinks that I will have more fun planning it out rather than have someone else plan it for me.

You know what? He's probably right!

Cuttle, cuttle, cuttle... bug!

I got it! I was so excited when I knew that my Cuttlebug was on it's sweet little FedEx truck, being delivered. In my head, ideas for this project and that swam around like no other! I picked up my blank cards, shoved them between the pages of my current read, The Nanny Diaries (nice book, btw) and dashed off, to see the fiance.

And then...

I had too much homework. Which, by the way, I am procrastinating from by writing this post.

I guess my Cuttlebug will have to wait until tonight!

I'm a persistent one, I am!

To continue with the bug thing I started off with... I'm the bug that never dies. (haha, since we're talking about the Cuttlebug... Dies... get it? *cough*)

So after I called the local Michael's and found out that the Cuttlebug is NOT included in either the 50% coupon that I have, or the 40% coupon that I also have! Booooo. I was slightly depressed, but even more determined to get one. Yes! *pumps fist*

So what did this lil' gal do? She turned - nay, ran! - to her nearest laptop (which happened to be... right in front of her). With fingers as fast as lightning, she quickly searched for sales on Cuttlebugs, and any Provo Craft items. Alas, nothing!

Fiance T was cheering me on -- okay, okay. He was consoling my poor hurt feelings (how could they do this to me! I am a fun-loving artsy-fartsy sweetiepie who really just wants to do DIY invitations for her wedding... well okay. I won't take it too personally). He was also commending my [short-lived] ability to be patient.

And then... CreativeXpress popped up!!! No way, no way! THEY had the Cuttlebug for $39.99!!! *cue heavenly music*

Fiance T: That's the cheapest we're ever going to get it.
BeeBride: Weeellll....
Fiance T: Just get it
BeeBride: Really?
Fiance T: We'll teach you patience with something else.

Hahaha, can anyone tell that I'm a little (alright, alright... a lot) impatient?

Pictures to come when we get the package! ;)

It's a bug world out there

Guess who recently got into the Cuttlebug world!

I did, I did!

For those of you who don't know, the Cuttlebug is a die cutter and embosser from the company Provo Craft. They can make a piece of paper into the prettiest thing ever! From invitations to escort cards, to decorations and cards. I just can't wait until I can make something using one!

I totally had to convince Tim that I would use it and use it and use it and use it and use it and use it and use it... and I think I've got him convinced. I will, too! I really, really will! I promise.

Tonight, I spent the evening looking at different videos on YouTube and different things you can do with a Cuttlebug. I can't believe it! Soooooooo fun!

Now, to just get one. Go, go, go!
